the best option would be to create your own website. That way you can show to your visitors, what you can actually do. It’s like a portfolio of your skills. Once you have a website, you can actually start creating marketing ads and blog posts to generate more traffic.
Once you have enough content on the website with your projects in it, as well as some useful posts, you can start writing in web hosting forums. People usually search for sysadmins there.
Another great place would be twitter. People there like to complain about their current hosting provider and how they don’t help out with the creation/configuration of the website. That’s where you can go in.
Anyway, I feel the best solution would be to have a ready product first, a website from which you can present yourself.
