Posted on November 19, 2013

I host my droplet in Amsterdam. Is it recommended to use Google’s recursive DNS servers or you have ones in Digital Ocean?

Is this still the case? Google just had an outage last Friday and we went offline. I can’t yell at google, but if DO had DNS I’m sure it would be more reliable than google.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think DigitalOcean offers recursive DNS.

That is correct, we do not offer recursive DNS.

You can use Google’s DNS servers, Level3’s, or any other recursive DNS servers you like, though.
