ok so i’m hosting a discord bot on a $5 per month droplet
and it just randomly goes down, my current process manager is pm2
when i do pm2 logs 0 it just shows the bot online msg but my bot is offline, does anyone know why? and my bot is also written in discord.py (python)

It’s possible your Droplet gets too much worked up and kills your bot automatically in order to avoid any issues. What I’ll suggest is checking your /var/log/messages file for any KILL signals.
You’ll most probably need to upgrade if you notice these signals. This means your Droplet was not able to co-op with the load your bot was creating.
