Why isn't my site available via the www prefix?

mydomain.com works great - but www.mydomain.com doesn't (I get server not found error).

goto : DNS -> SELECT DOMAIN -> ADD RECORD -> Select record type "A"

hostname : www
IP Adress : your droplets IP

Are you trying to force the use of the www subdomain or do you simply want your site to be accessible via the www subdomain?

Even after 5 years, when I run into the same issue, mail189778’s help still works! DigitalOcean should put it to documents.
