Whenever an account is locked for any reason a ticket is opened on your account and these details are sent to you on the email address on your account. You can reply from your email account directly to update the ticket.

There are a few reasons an account is likely to be locked:

  • Failure to respond to abuse complaints or resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Detection of multiple accounts. If you require multiple accounts (aside from teams) you should reach out first.
  • DDoS attacks on your site or service that are not mitigated by a reverse-proxy or firewall outside your droplet.
  • A chargeback or fraud allegation related to the credit card used on the account.

Without knowing about the specifics of your situation these are the most likely reasons for an account to be locked pending the resolution of the related issue. Please follow up with the support team in the ticket open on your account and they can provide further details and assist in resolving the underlying issues that necessitated the lock.
