Question

Why my droplets cant connect to smtp.gmail.com?

I have 3 droplets, none of the three connect, ex: telnet smtp.gmail.com 465 I don't have any domain appointed... Any idea?

What error do you get? Can you also try port 587?

I'm having the same issue... Can't connect using openssl:

openssl s_client -connect smtp.gmail.com:465
connect: Connection timed out
connect:errno=110

openssl s_client -connect smtp.gmail.com:587
connect: Connection timed out
connect:errno=110

I'm using CSF.

Any update in this issue!?
I have the same issue I try with 587 port to but no success...

Any idea?

@Aday: Please file a support ticket if you can't connect to port 587 on remote servers.

This is google specifically blocking you for “less secure use”:

https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en

Though it could also be Digital Ocean also blocking. Contact DigitalOcean for support just to verify.
