Why the site is replacing my domain for the IP number in the site content?

Posted on November 19, 2018

I’ve installed the one click Wordpress in Ubuntu 18.04.

I’ve already configured my WP URL to show my domain instead of the IP number of my site.

However, when I type my e-mail in the site content (it has the same domain that my site), it changes it to my IP adress.

For example: Instead of show “to contact me, please mail to igor@mydomain.com”.

It shows “to contact me, please mail to igor@192.131.92.10”.

Someone knows why this replacement is happening?

Hey friend,

That is interesting. Are you literally just typing your email address into the standard Wordpress post/page editor and it’s being changed to that? I’ve never witnessed that type of activity before, so I’m leaning heavily on it being caused by a plugin that perhaps has it’s own entry for the domain that needs to be changed.
