Wordpress application droplet for another php CMS.
Can I use the Wordpress application configuration and have it work for another PHP CMS (Craft)? Or should I go for the LAMP stack?

You would likely find it much easier to start from the LAMP image. The Wordpress image is based on the LAMP stack and with the LAMP image you would not first have to clean out the Wordpress files and database.
