WordPress contact forms no loger working - across all sites

WordPress Ubuntu

I have multiple WordPress installs across my Droplet and up until this week I was able to receive notifications of the contact form being filled out.

I use Contact Form 7 on all the sites and now when information is entered, it's indicated that it's delivered but I never get it.

Each site is a different domain name with different email addresses.

If your Droplet isn't running a proper mail server to authenticate mail being sent, or you're not using an external service, the issue is most likely due to that. The native mail function that is part of PHP doesn't authenticate e-mail, thus when mail is sent, the chances of it being flagged as spam/junk, or flat out being rejected are far higher.

What I recommend to clients that I've worked with and continue to work with, is SparkPost, as it has a WordPress plugin to allow for easy integration.

It's free up to 100,000 e-mails / month, and it's pretty simple to setup. Once the plugin is active and you've set your API credentials, mail will be routed through their service which, from my experience, has provided 100% deliverability.
