I have a working Wordpress Install but one of my issues is I cant figure out how to send email from the server. My domains email is controlled by a second external server and not by my DigitalOcean box… Is there a way to neatly solve this and have my Wordpress box sending out contact form 7 notifications etc?
Everything I look at appears to be instructional on hosting my email on the Ubuntu server, which is not what I’m trying to achieve.
Regards, Daniel

By default WordPress uses the mail() php command to send email directly from the server it’s running on. There are several plugins like this one that allow you to specify an SMTP server instead and have all email routed that way. It sounds like this would provide the solution you’re looking for.
