Apache WordPress Getting Started FreeBSD

Hey there,

Recently i’ve tried to follow these guides
https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-an-apache-mysql-and-php-famp-stack-on-freebsd-10-1

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-wordpress-with-apache-on-freebsd-10-1

After following guides i am able to go to ipadress/wp-admin/ and setup WP admin accounts.

However switching to a new theme for a website does not change the “it works ” page on http://ipdress/

what am i missing?

The “it works”, is that the Apache default site? It’s usually a file called index.html located in the web root, just delete that file if you already put WordPress in that directory.
It’s because the default DirectoryIndex is usually set to index.html index.htm index.php, meaning it will try to load index.html before index.php
