I updated my WordPress sites from 3.8 to 3.8.1 yet I am still have a message at the top of the dashboard saying that 3.8.1 is available and that I should upgrade. The upgrade to 3.8.1 indicated that it was successful so I am confused why I continue to see this upgrade message. I selected the Check Again button yet I still see the WordPress Update message.

Any ideas?

I’m having the same issue. I used the Wordpress one-click script. Tried restarting Apache with no luck; also tried changing permissions but got an error anyways.

“The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. @annak: What OS and webserver are you using? Did you follow a specific article on installing Wordpress?
