Wordpress Zoho SMTP Configuration

 • Posted May 30, 2014

Hi there,

I’ve setup my email accounts to Zoho and they’re working fine on ThunderBird (I can send/receive emails without any problems).

In order to make Contact Form 7 I’ve to configure the SMTP settings for the plugin WP-Mail-SMTP but I’m not having any luck.

I’ve tried the following tutorials: -> it just doesn’t works, I followed the guide to a T but it doesn’t sends emails. -> but I can’t find /etc/msmtprc and ~/.msmtprc on my server.

I’m not very good at all this stuff and I’m trying to learn as fast as I can but in this case I just can’t make it work :(

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I found that I had to go to my website control panel (cpanel) and allow outgoing connections from the website. Many hosting providers turn that off by default (especially ones with free hosting).

I am having the same issue. Did you resolve it? Would really appreciate any help.

Hi!

It sounds like you might have SMTP blocked on your account. This is done in certain instances. Please file a support ticket asking to have SMTP enabled:
