adding dumped mongodb database to server

Posted on May 30, 2018

Hi,

I am trying to migrate my mongodb database to my server. I have reviewed all the mongorestore docs and cannot seem to figure this out. I have dumped the db on my local machine(mac) and have tried SCP transfer and mongorestore which both failed. If anyone has a good example of how to do this it would be much appreciated.

thanks,

jb

Hi @Pappie,

The below article can guide you with mongodump and mongorestore :

you could also try using MongoDB compass to perform a dump and restore from GUI.

I hope this helps!
