Adding multiple DNS names to an existing host

I have a VPS which is already up and running with a .com DNS. I have the equivalent name and would like both name to point to the same VPS, so as an example:

I have and i’d like to point to the same site.

Can anyone suggest how you do this.

I’ve tried just adding the to CNAMES but it reyrned with an error.

  • is a different domain (not a sub-domain) and you cannot create a CNAME to do that!

    Use A-Record and supply the same IP address (just like you would have done for .com domain)! This will point your .com domain & domain to same IP!

Hi Saurabh,

OK i’ve added a new domain record for the and included the same Ip address.

When I connect to the it now displays the Apache2 Ubuntu Default Page saying “it works!”. I take it I need to configure something else on the vps to direct the to the main page, how do I do this?
