Am I better using Apache Traffic Server or CloudFlare CDN?

Posted on April 23, 2016

My current setup consists of a server with Apache Traffic Server installed which takes in all requests and the sends off to another server based on the domain name.

I’m considering removing the Traffic Server and just having the appropriate server with Cloud Fare sitting in front.

Would this be a wise move? Just wanting to know everyones opinions.

I haven’t ever used ATS in production myself but I would recommend CloudFlare as it takes the work off caching of your plate and serves your site via their global network meaning a user will receive their copy of your site from a server that is close to them rather than just a cached copy that still comes directly from your server.
