I am looking for an open source Digital Mapping system. It can be free or paid. Any suggestion ? I am thinking about MapBox and MapWindow GIS. Thank you.

How about QGIS or GRASS GIS or SAGA GIS ? Have a look at alternativeto.net to find other alternatives.
