Bandwidth Overage

Hello, Last month we’ve got Droplet Bandwidth Overage (2825.36GB @ $0.01/GB) = $28.25 extra charge for exceeding the current summary limit of 8429 GB per month.

It doesn’t seem so clear from the invoice which droplet’s overage caused this extra charge.

vnstat instances running on regular droplets don’t show something unusual. Kubernetes cluster services logs don’t show something extra ordinal as well.

Please, can someone clarify the situation with bandwidth overage?

Hi there,

You can find info on pricing in our docs here:

“Only public outgoing transfers are considered for bandwidth billing. Transfer limits are calculated by pooling the transfer from all droplets on the account. Overages above pooled transfer will be charged at a rate of $0.01/GB.”

If you have further questions directly related to your billing or your account i recommend you open a support ticket to have your specific case reviewed.
