If I understand correctly block storage must be in same region as droplet to attach…I too have droplets in SGP and awaiting block storage capability in SGP…

  • so i guess. if i create vm in us and add block storage. i think its problem coz comunication data over internet public not private.

at first i thought DO have backbone connection like private network although the position of different countries vm

    • Private networking is only for the same datacenter. It will use public internet to communicate between two datacenters. It seems like DO is still testing block storage on few US locations to make sure they get it right before rolling out to other locations. Hopefully they will have it available on other locations soon!

      • thanks MDS for reply :)

I was trying to create a new vm on us and try to connect to the vm is there, but the result was not as I expected. I did get respone time 250ms ping its really bad

digitalocean may quickly release the block storage in Singapore.
