Can i allow all IP addresses to my database?

Posted on December 5, 2019

I host a script on heroku but they dont provide their IP so i need to allow all on digitalocean.

I tried 0.0.0.0/0 which changed to “AllIPv4” when i entered it but when i click save, it gives me the error: “The prefix (the number following the slash) cannot be less than 10.”.

Any help is appreciated!

I think that if you don’t specify any IP addresses and leave the allow list empty it would mean that the traffic to the database cluster would be allowed for everyone.

Hi there,

Indeed as the Server Enthusiast mentioned, if you don’t specify any IPs in the trusted sources list, the database will be accessible from anywhere:

You can find this information here:
