I was purchasing office 365 software and they are asking us to verify our domain. Can you help me. I have been trying since my original question posted early February 2020. Does Digital Ocean go by another company name that Microsoft would recognize? If I log into my digital ocean’s account, what do I need to change or update so Microsoft can verify the domain?

Hi @woodyShark,
Usually there are two ways to verify your domain with Microsoft,
2.You can use a TXT record to verify your domain
There is a specific page in Microsoft related for verifying a domain. You can check that here.
They’ll provide you with a TXT record which you can then add in your control panel with DigitalOcean. If you are unsure how to add a TXT record with DigitalOcean, you can check the following article : https://www.digitalocean.com/docs/networking/dns/
If you are feeling uncertain in any of the some steps provided by either Microsoft or DigitalOcean please do let us know and I’ll try to further assist
