Hi, My website was running 100% and nothing wrong, then I decided to take snapshot, and reboot via terminal. Now I cannot open my website and very strange things happened.
got an error while running apache2 start that says “unresolved hostname” I checked on hostname and it was changed to www.mydomain.com, I changed it back to mydomain.com… the error is gone but website does not open. very strange!
I dont know if thats related, but while I was taking snapshot I accidentally navigated away from page, but I went back and pressed take snapshot, it said another task in process.
I have SSL too (common name: www.mydomain.com) but it was working fine before reboot my environment: ubuntu 14.04 apache2

ok now it works! <br> <br> for future reference, my mistake was not saving iptables after making a rule that open port https. <br> <br>on reboot https rule was gone… and we can never stop learning :) <br> <br>
