Changed DNS and now www goes nowhere.

Posted on August 9, 2014

Help. I changed the DNS to move my site from a Joomla setup with www on Dreamhost to a non-www WordPress setup here and now www.mental-health-matters.com goes nowhere. I can’t even ping it. I’m getting “Ping request could not find host www.mental-health-matters.com. Please check the name and try again.”

mental-health-matters.com resolves fine, but all my existing traffic is going to the www server. What do I need to do to fix this?

Did you resolve this? You need to ensure you have a CNAME for www that points to mental-health-matters.com.

FYI, the site with the www is working fine from where I’m sitting in NJ.
