Changing the default installation locations for MySql, Php and Apache

Posted on February 13, 2014

Does anybody know how to change the default install locations for MySql, Apache and PhP? It’s easy on Windows, but I find no way to do this on Ubuntu. I feel it’ll be a bit more secure than using the default destinations. So I could choose xxxMySql/ for MySql and so on.

What do you mean by install locations?

Where Ubuntu installs Apache, MySql and PHP by default.

You shouldn’t change those paths, you should stick with the defaults as they’re probably more secure than any other paths.
