Correct configuration for nameservers digital ocean and relative IPv4 addresses

My provider “register.it” is asking for IPv4 too, i know they can change that’s why i wrote the date.

I don’t know if they rely upon the IPs i provide anyways, maybe it’s just a sort of security measure for the itaian extension. The only thing i want is that this domain points to my server, it never happened to me to wait so long for a change in the NS. I will never advice Register to anyone, i like better other companies, the only good thing is that is cheap! The mistake was mine, that i put the IP provided on a answer i found, maybe they were old IPs, but now the interface doesn’t let me change only the IPs without changing the Nameservers too, and the support is really poor.

Unless your domain registrar physically requires that you provide both, you should only need to use the ns1-ns3 entries. Ideally, you don’t want to rely on IP’s as they could change and if they do, you’d need to make sure those IP’s are updated on your domain as well, otherwise DNS lookups would fail for your domain.

So you should only need:

ns1.digitalocean.com ns2.digitalocean.com ns3.digitalocean.com
