Hi there,
1 - You have to point your mail records on your domain control panel (Godaddy, Hostgator…) to your droplet. Changing your MX record is usually done to redirect email to a remote server. It can also be used as a temporary backup in case the local mail server goes down.
2 - After that you should install a mail software (Postfix for example) to handle the incoming emails.
3 - Then install a GUI tool to access and read/write email (Webmail for example).
