I just bought a droplet and want to install the Discourse app. It is asking for my credentials for an SMTP server. If I have a website with an SMTP server, that’s what it is asking about or something different?
The instruction says, If you have an existing mail server, you can use those credentials.
Well, the SMTP server doesn’t have separate credentials; I’m accessing it through the cPanel. I have the credentials for the cPanel. That’s what is needed?

Hi there @georgepor,
In case that you already have a cPanel account, what you could do is create an email account there and use the email address and the email password as your SMTP credentials.
For anyone else who does not have an existing cPanel server or an SMTP server, you could use an SMTP service like SendGrid:
