I’m uncertain about what option is best for my scenario.
I have developed a wp site locally and am bout to create a new droplet on digital ocean for hosting.
What is the difference between:
- uploading my locally developed site to a ubuntu/lamp distribution 2.using wordpress one-click-app?

I guess the first question you will want to ask yourself: how familiar are you with setting up a LAMP stack. If you’re not, one-click, followed by using a plugin to migrate your data would be easier.
One-click is to get novices up and running fast, but it’s a one-size-fits-most solution. It may not optimize Apache for your viewer-base, for example.
