Does bandwidth FROM droplets TO spaces in the same region count against the bandwidth allowance?

Posted on July 30, 2019

The question has already been answered on the official docs (Under Spaces): https://www.digitalocean.com/docs/accounts/billing/bandwidth/

“Traffic from Droplets to Spaces does not count against your Spaces transfer allowance (because inbound bandwidth to Spaces is free), but does currently count against your Droplets’ outbound transfer allowance. We’re working on changing this behavior.”

However, since the docs explicitly stated that the behavior will be changed, are there any updates on this issue?

Hello,

This is an interesting question and I believe it was asked some time ago as well. I believe that DigitalOcean will notify all their customers if there are changes in the billing for the bandwidth usage itself. This is something that will affect a lot of people and DigitalOcean will have an official statement when this happens.
