I am currently using my application on a shared host. Whenever I set the CRON to run every minute, few moments later the hosting provider automatically sets the CRON to run every 20 minutes. My application is built with Laravel and I need to run cron every minute. Does Digital Ocean allow that ?

Yes, you can set one or more cron jobs to run at the interval of your choosing.
Each Droplet provides full root access, which allows you to configure the Droplet and the services running within to meet your needs.
Has your current web host provided any details on why the interval is being adjusted? If you will be running more resource-intensive tasks, and that happens to be the reason for the adjustment, you may want to look into our General Purpose or CPU Optimized Droplets.
