"Domain Name Already Exists" Error - When Adding DNS for Droplet

I am trying to add DNS management for my droplet. When I try to add the domain I get an error message: “Domain Name Already Exists” ?

A while back I did try out Digital Ocean - but cancelled my account. I am back now and wondering if this might be stuck in the system?

You have to contact support. I did something similar. I registered my domain name with a different droplet, deleted that droplet and the created a new one. Contact support and they will release the domain from the other droplet. It took them about an hour to response.

any update on this? just got this error myself.

I figured that might be the case. I already have a ticket into support to see what’s up.

Only support can help you with this. Point out the cancelled account - It may lead to them fixing the problem at the core if they can.

The system performs a DNS lookup to see if the domain has already been added to DigitalOcean. If it has, you’ll receive a message that says Data domain example.com: Name already exists. If the domain has not been previously added to DigitalOcean’s DNS service, it will be added.

Its been 4 days since i submitted this problem with a domain, no one answers, it looks like there is no support working, all i keep getting are bot replies
