Droplet console pw reset -site not browseable

Posted on April 1, 2020

Dear Sir or Madam,

I forgot my password for loggin into the console for my Droplet - that contains:

https://greatfireoflondon.co.uk 167.71.172.216

I reset the password, following the prompts provided. When I browse to the website, the site is not available. Are there directories or files that need to be reset other than the password please?

Kind regards, Rajesh Taylor

Hi there @rtSquid,

It looks like that your web server like Apache or Nginx might not be running and this is why your website is not reachable.

Depending on which one you use, I could recommend following the steps here:

  • If you are using Apache follow the steps from this answer on how to troubleshoot common Apache issues:

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/questions/how-to-troubleshoot-common-apache-issues-on-linux-server

  • If you are using Nginx follow the steps from this answer on how to troubleshoot common Nginx issues:

Feel free to share the output of the commands here so that I could try to further advise you.

Hope that this helps! Regards, Bobby
