I use Ubuntu 4.14 x64. Please what should I install to have a mail server type user@ mydomain .com?

Hosting your own mail server can be a very complicated task. It's hard to get right. I'd suggest looking at Mail-in-a-Box or iRedMail. Both offer a way to get a mail server with webmail and IMAP support up fairly quickly.
