Enabling SSL on Apache for Drupal 7

Posted on September 16, 2014

I have my certificate, and put it into my virtual host configuration, however it doesn’t seem to be working. I can’t access https://domainname.com

Is there an example Virtualhost configuration for Drupal7 to enable https?

Enabling SSL for a Drupal 7 based site shouldn’t be any different than enabling it on any other Apache VirtualHost. Could you be more specific as to what isn’t working and post your Apache configuration to a pastebin? It will make it easier for people to help you.

One common thing people forget is to open port 443 in their firewall.
