Hi There,

I can see my website when typing in the IP address, but when I typed my domain, it showed the following.

*Error 521 Ray
Web server is down

The picture showed Cloudflare cannot connect to HOST.

So, that’s why I’m contacting Digital Ocean because I use you guys to host (droplet). However, I do use Cloudflare for security purpose and I set up to point back to the IP address I got from Digital Ocean.

Please help me. Thank you so much.

  • Check if the ip you used in cloudflare is correct and if it is the try and disable the firewall in your droplet to see if it is maybe blocking cloudflare ips for some reason. I’ve been using cloudflare with multiple servers at multiple companies and i’ve yet to encounter such error tho. And what that error tells you is that either there is no application listening on either port 80/443 or that the firewall is refusing connections on said ports to cloudflare ips.
