Hi, I’m new in server configuration topic but I set up Apache on Ubuntu 14.04 by myself, and I’ve tested my application and I have some question about performance.
My app is downloading xml files (1350 files, 220 mb) from wholesale website by API and it works perfectly but downloading all files took over 30 min for the first time, but after power cycle this same operation took 7 min. In server graphs there is difference between bandwith speed for both tests (#1: 2Mbs, #2: 5Mbs)
My question is: what may be a cause of such difference of downloading after power cycle? What test i need to do?
My server is 2GB Ram 30GB SSD Disk Amsterdam 3 Ubuntu LAMP on 14.04

Hey there,
The only thing that may be different between reboots is CPU load and memory in use. If the system was running out of resources or at a high load, the system would be sluggish. The reboot itself would clear the load and memory usage up, but it would not have increased download speeds.
The other possible explanation may be a routing change or bandwidth saturation at the other server location that happened to clear up around the time of the reboot.
Happy coding,
