My Messages Log showed the ‘HUPed’ message. The man files indicate that this is some kind of rapid
stop and restart of rsyslog and not recommended. Could the logrotate program, or fail2ban have done this?
In any event, since I didn’t cause it, I’m concerned that something stops and starts on the server for no apparent reason.

Looks like it’s caused by logrotate, you can ignore it.

http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=37751 “by jojopi » Wed Mar 20, 2013 1:11 pm”.
