Hello. I’m confused about the Payment Methods and Due Dates. I also have a code from Github Student pack. I’m required to make a transaction of $5 from PayPal to verify my account and the Github code gives me $50 of platform credit. Do I get back the $5 from the PayPal transaction?
Also, I read that the balance is due the first day of each month, if I pay today, do I get charged again the 1th of next month? If so, does it take if from the $50 I’m given by Github?

Hello, @Diodamez
You need to enter a valid credit/debit card or make a deposit via PayPal in order to use the GitHub Student Pack. Keep in mind that this is needed in order to verify account and once done you will not be charged.
The promo code field should be visible in the Billing section of your account, as shown in the link provided bellow:

Once the transaction is approved and the funds are available in your DigitalOcean account you should be good to go. If you’re still having issues with this you can also contact our amazing support team and they will assist you with adding the GitHub Education promo code.
DigitalOcean billing cycles are monthly. Your account balance accrues over the course of the calendar month based on the cost of the resources you use. We are also required by law to apply taxes for certain countries.
We automatically invoice and charge your account’s primary payment method on the first day of each month for the previous month’s usage, or partway through the month if you exceed your account’s usage threshold.

Hope that this helps!
