I just created a droplet, on windows so I used puttygen to create public/private keys without passcode (followed your windows doc). So now I am on the droplets page and click console. It opens a console and I get to a prompt that has my droplet name and “login:”.
Now I did not get an email with a userid/password. So what do I enter here for login and password? I created an Exlir droplet using the elixir app.

Sorry for the confusion. When you create a droplet using an ssh key there is no root password. The user is only allowed to authenticate using the key over ssh. You would have to log into your droplet with putty and run the command passwd which would then allow you to create a password for your root user that could be used on the console. Changes made to the ssh service don’t have any effect on the console. Your droplet sees it’s console as a local keyboard and display.
