How do I get the underlying hardware to fix the machine system time?

Posted on June 11, 2014

I’m trying to authenticate to a Google service from my droplet, and it keeps failing because the machine system time is incorrect, screwing up some part of the authentication flow. I’ve tried to sync to an ntp server, but nothing fixes the issue. Of course, I don’t have control over the underlying hardware. Is there any way to prompt DO to fix the machine system time?
