Hi
Literally as soon as we created our account, it was locked. No explanation given. I submitted a support ticket asking why it had been locked with no explanatory email and no obvious reasons.
I immediately got a stock response claiming that:
“However, your account was found to match patterns associated with fraudulent behavior, by our automated systems. This is a violation of our Terms of Service and resulted in a lock on your account. After review by our support staff, we have determined that restoring access to your account is not possible.”
Which seems completely bizarre. I haven’t undertaken any actions whatsoever, let alone fraudulent ones! If it weren’t so annoying I’d find it hilarious.
I followed up on this and have got no response. The auto-response outlines a few things I can “do” to unlock our account: a) why you created an account b) if you have any other accounts.
I answered both of these questions via reply email and have got no response. Perhaps there’s a formal process for this? Or more detailed instructions?
Any advice is much appreciated, right now we are just sitting around.

Hey @empirewarmc,
In our public community, we aim to answer open questions about anything SysAdmin, DigitalOcean and beyond. However, we make every attempt to keep personal information safe and so don’t ever access personal account information here. This means we can’t provide help with any account or billing-related issues.
Do you have a ticket number from when you contacted our support team so that I can get this followed up for you?
Hope that helps! - Matt.
