How do you change the terminal colours?

Posted on January 14, 2014

Hi everyone,

Am using PUTTY and sshing to my VPS. I am running Ubuntu 12.04.3 x64.

And the one thing I really hate is the folder colours i.e. folder names are in blue, its really hurting my eyes but I don’t know how you change it? I know how to change it via GUI but not terminal base.

Hope someone can help?

Thanks!
