We need to transfer a Spaces repo to a clients account. Can this be done and how?

I built a script to do this automatically. You need to have API key/secret for both Spaces and that’s it.

Sorry that I don’t know any way to transfer Spaces between accounts.You can download all data in your initial Spaces with rclone,then create a new Spaces with other account and upload data you downloaded before.
This is a tutorial that teaches how to copy the data and transfer between regions.Maybe this can inspire you.
