Hello all, I want to ask if it is possible to add a domain2.com, which I host on another hosting company, as a second domain to my email server which I set up for a domain1.com here on DO. Thanks!

Hi @gramvasilica,
Yes, that’s entirely possible. Depending on the mail service you have set you’ll need to configure it differently but you can send out messages from the droplet from an external domain.
If you let us know exactly what service you are using for sending out mail, then I’ll be able to provide you with other steps on how to do so.
Having said that, usually, it’s just a matter of adding it to the configuration and then sending out messages.
Regards, KFSys
Thank You for answer, I have set a POSTFIX SMTP server, DOVECOT IMAP and POSTFIXADMIN+ROUNDCUBE.
So, on the external host I am running a site domain2.com; therefore I set into my domain2 registrar panel the DNS records to point to the DNS values of that external host.
Then, here on DO, on the domain hosted I setup an email server configured as I said above.
Therefore, here on DO, must be settings to be done on the DNS entries(regarding my external domain) plus settings on the mail server
at the end my website, www.domain2.com, should run on the external host and my email(mail.domain2.com) should run here on DO
appreciate your help :)
