How to cancel permanent RedirectMatch ?

Posted on January 10, 2020

Context: Debian Apache 2 I have made a permanent redirection in sites-available mydomain.com-le-ssl.conf. I should have made a temporary one. Removing this redirect from the configuration file maintains the redirection. How can I stop it ?

Kind regards

Hello,

What you would need to do is:

  • Remove the redirect rules from your Apache config
  • Run a config test with the following command:
apachectl -t
  • If you get Syntax OK message, restart Apache so that the changes could take effect:
systemctl restart apache2
  • Then clear the cache of your browser and test the site again

You could also test that using the curl command, it would look something like this:

curl -IL http://yourdomain.com

Hope that this helps! Regards, Bobby
