How to open a url in web browser, whose value is received from cgi form, by using python?

Posted on May 25, 2017

One file contains the cgi form code and the value from this form is sent to a python file. I’m trying webbrowser.open(url) to open the url in the broswer, which is getting the input from the path entered in form.

Hello there,

I’ll also recommend using the same python module. It should do the trick for most case scenarios.

webbrowser.**open**(_url_, _new=0_, _autoraise=True_)

You can check also the official Python docs page for the module.
