Check if you have any firewall running (UFW or IPTables). If so, you need to open the port before you can get a respond from it externally.

  • this is my ufw respond

    To Action From

    1935/tcp ALLOW Anywhere
    1935/tcp (v6) ALLOW Anywhere (v6)

    • If you check your IP for the port to be open and it says it is, you need to provide some more details like logs etc.
I can not check if your port is open, only if you give your droplets IP. If you check and its not open, make sure UFW is running and your wowza service is using that port

      • suddenly its started working now that was weird thx for your time though

        • I checked your port and this service isn’t working yet. This means:

          • Or your wowza service isn’t using this port
          • Or your firewall isn’t setup correctly

What firewall are you using currently? IPtables or UFW?
          Check for UFW status:

          sudo ufw status

          IPTables rules:

          sudo iptables -L

For the most easy use I suggest you use UFW, if its not enabled turn it on:

          sudo ufw enable

If you opened the ports, make sure your wowza service is using these ports. I am not known with wowza but I think it should have some configuration somewhere. You can also contact me on skype: cryptic-designs
