Hi! In order to use a PuTTy private key on a Linux machine, you will need to convert it to the OpenSSH format.

Open your PuTTy key in PuTTygen and then click on Export OpenSSH under Conversions. Then, transfer the resulting file to your Linux machine.

You can use it by passing it along with -i to the ssh command, like this:

ssh -i /path/to/exported/key user@ip

You can also move it to ~/.ssh/id_rsa if you do not already have an SSH key there.
