If you really want to upgrade now, supply -d (development version) option. <br>sudo do-release-upgrade -d
do-release-upgrade will work but not until 14.04.1 is available in July. <br> <br>From the Ubuntu mailing list “Users of 12.04 LTS will be <br>offered the automatic upgrade when 14.04.1 LTS is released, which is <br>scheduled for July 24th.” <br> <br>https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-announce/2014-April/000182.html
