I am installing Nextcloud in my DO droplet. I need to point my domain to the DO. But as I have a premium DNS subscription, it is not as straightforward as it is mentioned in the guides.

If you are using Namecheap’s premium DNS service there is no need to set up any DNS records on your DigitalOcean account. There is no requirement to use DO’s DNS and it is provided as a free convenience for all users. Instead you should only need to set up an A record in Namecheap pointing to your droplet’s IP address directly.

All DNS records can sometimes take a couple of hours to propagate. I’m able to ping nextcloud.yourdomain.com and get your Droplet’s IP address.
You can also use our DNS lookup tool to check if all records are propagating and setup correctly:
